Gregor Testerman Class of 2017, Anxious Landing
This photograph is one of those pictures that you are given the opportunity to take out of nowhere. It was 1st period in photography, and I was frustrated with trying to find elements and principles of art. As I was wallowing in my self-pity, I looked up and there was a hawk just chilling on the light post. Not only it was on the light post, but also the Hawk was being attack by other birds from the area. That is why I titled the photograph “Anxious Landing”, because the Hawk looked anxious when it was on the light post. When editing the photo I didn’t use Light Room or Photoshop. I just used iPhoto to adjust the setting to my likeness. I like this photo because it is one of those things that is hard to get a picture of and I got it. It is a successful photo because, the color contrast on the Hawk and the post go well together. I myself with art it is like a muscle. If I work it out my work is better, but if I don’t work it out my work is over par. This year I have learned so much about photography and how it can connect people. In the future I hope to learn about mandala photography because it has a certain kind of beauty that it shows and I want to make.

In Photoshop I took the Template and dragged my images and adjusted them using the Transform tool. I didn't really struggle on anything really. I was proud on figuring out how to change the picture to black and white. I am really happy on how the image came out. I like it how you can say my name. If I were to change anything it would be finding new Gs because the ones I used are terrible.
When I grow up I want to be a nurse practitioner. This job has me work directly with Doctors and Nurses in the hospital to treat or cure the patients. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to help people anyway I can. I think being a Nursing would help me achieve that goal throughout my life. I hope that i will give people hope that they will make it through whatever they're in the Hospital for. In this photo I am Joseph Gordon-Leavit with Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet for a movie that recently was released. I thought it would be cool take this picture with her because she is my co-star. I probably reveal spoilers about the movie in a later interview. Overall just having a good time on the red carpet enjoying the limelight. -Photoshop Tutorial-
1. Find two images one of you and one of the person you want to replace. (Make sure the heads in both images are facing the same direction or same angle). Make sure images are large for detail. 2. Pull them up on Photoshop. Lasso around your head and drag it over the desired image. Then press the layer mask tool in the bottom right corner. 3. Adjust the Opacity to around 60% and adjust the image by alining the eyes, eyebrows, and mouth using the transform tool under the Edit tab. 4. If you and the person that you are trying to be not the same skin tone you can adjust the image by clicking Image>Adjustments>ColorBalance/BrightnessContrast 5. When satisfied with your image save your photo by clicking File>SaveAs. Then give it a name and give it a format to display it on. |
